Job Title: Java Developer

Location: Hitchin, Hertfordshire

Salary: £25,000.00 - £35,000.00

Job Type: Full Time / Permanent

Details: Working as part of a small Development team you will have responsibility in developing and extending our current MIS system.

You will need strong Java & SQL skills, JDBC, Struts, Jquery, Ajax, Json, HTML and Linux system experience.

The successful candidate will also potentially have exposure to the follow

No SQL; Spring 3.x.; Hibernate, RESTful Webservers and possibly knowledge of Jboss; Web sphere or Weblogic Application Server.

Knowledge of Junit testing and Agile Methodologies would be an advantage.

Experience: We are looking for a candidate with 2+ years of experience of Java Programming, with a strong knowledge of Java Generics and Collections.

Our IT team also undertake a variety of other tasks such as IT support, system administration, taking backups etc, so a flexible approach is essential.

As a partner in the business, your core hours of work would generally be 37.5 per week with core hours between 10 am & 4 pm. There is a requirement within this role from time to time to carry out work outside normal working hours such as evenings and weekends.

In addition to your normal earnings, the partnership offers a performance related incentive scheme, a contributory pension scheme and an increasing holiday allowance.
